1992 NSX For Sale – 9500 mi – Collector Grade

Up for sale is my 1992 Formula Red and Black interior US market Acura NSX. This is the legendary supercar from Japan that had direct input from Ayrton Senna and inspired Gordon Murray in his development of the McLaren F1 road car.

I am the third owner. First sold in Acura of South Florida to original owner who owned the car since 2013, it was then purchased by a physician collector and imported into Toronto, Canada. I recently purchased the car to add to my Honda collection of an s2000 and Integra type r. I am making room for other cars and have sold the Integra and now the NSX is next.

Car is all original paint, engine, wheels. The radio was replaced by a clarion single din unit and door speaker changed to boston acoustics with external amplifier behind the drivers seat. I had the original radio refurbished but maintained the speakers and amp. The absolute only flaw would be a slightly different shade of trim color to the center vent surround and ashtray. See photos.

The paint was recently paint corrected and cquartz applied. Car is all original, no accidents, no paintwork, clean carfax and carproof. I recently had a dealer run a paint meter on all panels and readings were around 5 all around consistent with original paint. Exterior lenses are crisp and not dulled.

Interior is spectacular. No significant seat bolster wear and have original floor mats. Glass is all good.

Wheels have no curb, perfect and the tires were just replaced with Bridgestones.

Brakes are original and slight tremor when braking down from 70 mph.

Engine recently had coils, plugs, fuel filter, air filter, oil and filter and fluids flush. Engine has typical higher rougher idle until warm then settles down to around 900 rpm when warm and smooth. Timing belt and water pump done and documented at acura dealer in Toronto around 3 years ago.

Service records are fairly complete with only missing some simple oil changes. Major items were an air conditioning upgrade, abs pump and aforementioned timing belt and water pump.

I had issues with an inaccurate tachometer and dealer evaluated and misdiagnosed as a vtec issue. In any event $600 later I had to send the cluster out for capacitor replacement and now works as it should. Recent ppi by dealer passed with flying colors. Car is in snap ring transmission range but dealer said transmission and shaft look good and given the type of driving and mileage, repair was highly discouraged.

Service records and carfax and carproof and car condition are consistent with excellent condition and mileage.

Car package is complete with original owners manual, coffee table book, nsx wood box with nsx leather key pouch and 5 keys. Includes titanium key. Also includes binder with records, time correct magazines with articles on the nsx, time correct revel model, and original bill of sale and original window sticker. Also front license plate holder and acura south florida tag. This car is complete!

Car comes with original floor mats and car cover. Both which are unavailable and expensive on the open market. Car covers alone will sell for $500.

Spare parts will include: Brand new Honda Front brake rotors, new oem front lip spoiler, zanardi floor mats for daily use, a brand new transmission case with snap ring parts. I will include the old coil packs and plugs.

I would rate this as a Hagerty Category 1 minus or a very strong Category 2 plus. For a 25 year old car paint, lenses, wheels, interior are fantastic. Category 1 is thrown around the internet and I am excessively picky so you understand my judgement.

Our weather has been poor so I have limited photos but will get the car on the lift for undercarriage photos which are perfect.
