1994 Acura NSX Description

1994 ACURA NSX VIN: JH4NA115XRT000326

I’m the 3rd owner of this car and I bought it as a project. I grew up restoring cars with my father and have been playing with NSXs for over 10 years. I have a few build threads on nsxprime.com that all start with McDork. Please search if you'd like a better idea of my experience. When I purchased this car it was not running and the intake and wiring were removed from the engine. Like most projects I do, I decided to perform a shotgun maintenance and make this car something that shouldn’t require anything for many years. Additionally, the car has been detailed every step of the way, which will be evident in the pictures. It wan't my intention to finish this as fast as possible, cutting corners, and sacrificing quality. I'm a car enthusiast not a dealer and I enjoy NSX projects. If you’re looking for a nice clean driver, that isn’t perfect but still looks great and won’t bury you in repairs and maintenance, this car should offer very good value.

The Good:

It's a 1994 so not dreaded snap ring issue, the A/C system is R134a, passenger side airbag, and upgraded wheels from the 91-93 model years.

There are no signs of collision / frame damage whatsoever. The Carfax is clean and I have a few service records from the original owner. The car looks great, runs great, drives great, and has had more maintenance performed than most on the market. Everything has just been done together and this car defies the mileage and age. Everything works properly and it's very noticeable when driving it.. The AC is cold and there is a receipt from the 1st owner for the climate control unit being replaced. The interior overall is in very good condition. The seats are soft and I believe the driver’s seat bolster has been repaired at one point, but it looks very good.. Lastly,I have all of the receipts from the parts that I have purchased and they are all in a folder with the car. This is a great car that is ready to be driven and enjoyed, as it already has the miles. Most of the things I've taken care of on this car would be required on a car with a 3rd of the mileage due to age. Also, having been around these for a while I made sure to take car of all of the NSX specific known problem areas.

The Bad:

Even though the Carfax is clean, the Autocheck shows "minor accident reported, front center". The front bumper has been repainted and the color match is not perfect. It also has a lot of rock chips that weren’t properly filled prior to paint. I believe that this was repainted after whatever the "minor accident" was prior to purchase from the second owner. I have inspected the car thoroughly in the front and I'm sure it was very minor. One of the headlight covers was replaced and there is receipt from the original owner. There are a few dings, a few scratches, and a chip with some slight paint cracks on the edge of the rear bumper It looks like someone bumped into it at some point. Also, there are a good number of rock chips, but with the mileage they make it an honest car. Also, I decided not to re-undercoat any of wheel wells so that they are easy to inspect for damage.I’m extremely detail oriented (picky) and can tell you that most people who have seen the car didn’t see any of the flaws until they were pointed out.

It has no stereo at the moment and I decided not to install one, as the next owner will have a blank slate to do with as they wish. This I think is a blessing in disguise as the original components are starting to fail frequently and are expensive to fix. However, if you have a large cassette tape collection I can understand this being a deal breaker.

The tool kit is missing however the jack is included. The spare isn't pictured, but in good shape and included.

Inspections are welcome prior to the end of the auction. I'm going to try to have Ed Martin Acura do a PPI next week to make it easier for anyone interested. If you'd like to see the Carfax or Autocheck reports please email me and I can pass them along. I've tried to be as honest as possible representing this car. There a many pictures below, but if there is something specific you'd like to see please let me know.
