I am proud to present this immaculate 1993 Acura NSX finished in beautiful Formula Red over Black.
The '93 model year was the third year for the Acura NSX in its original Coupe form, and the first year which avoided any issues with the dreaded “snap ring” transmission issue that affected '91-'92 cars. The '93 model year specifically also added a passenger side airbag and a cup holder in the center console. Later '95+ NSXs were essentially all “T” targa-roofed cars that suffered from a lack of body rigidity when compared to these early Coupes.

This NSX has 5-owners from new, each of whom took incredible care of the car (Carfax lists more due to a previous owner re-titling the car multiple times). We sourced this example in 2018 on behalf of a client in Oregon, who has been overjoyed with the condition and driving experience. After almost 1 year of ownership, he is ready to send this NSX to its next caring owner to make room for incoming cars.
This car is in fantastic condition, significantly better than the already-low mileage would suggest. I have sourced, owned, driven, and sold countless NSXs and can confidently say this is a fantastic example in truly striking condition. NSXs without an abundance of modifications, paintwork, miles, or a “story” simply do not come along often.
Maintenance Information:
In September 2018, the NSX specialist techs at Ron Tonkin Acura in Portland, OR performed the following preventative services at a total of almost $5,000.00 on this car:
The Climate Control Unit (CCU), a common fault on the NSX, was replaced with a new unit in late 2018 as well.
Cosmetic Notes:
100% original paint, verified by professional paint meter. The car has very clearly been garaged its entire life. The undercarriage is clean and free of any surface rust or corrosion, as is to be expected on the all-aluminum NSX.
In 2018 the paint was protected using a $1,500.00 self-healing titanium paint coating process. This is similar to a ceramic coating (essentially permanent wax for paint protection), but superior in its protection.
This NSX still retains its original, smaller pre-'97 front lip which is no longer in production, demonstrating how carefully it has been used throughout its life.
The only flaws of note are two extremely shallow tap marks on the rear bumper, the typical slight wear seen on any NSX front lip, a few rock nicks / touch-ups on the nose (as one would expect for the mileage), and atypical small wear spot on the driver's seat bolster. Zero scratches, dings, dents, major chipping etc. are present.
