1991 Acura NSX Description

 

After 16 years of loving ownership I have decided to offer my truely one of a kind 1991 Acura NSX coupe for sale.

This car is like a family member to me and has had nearly 100k invested in purchase price / professionally installed performance upgrades / maintenance - all with receipt. I am the owner of a European Car service facility here in Raleigh, NC and a long time NSXCA member. This was / has been my dream car - but I have decided its time to move on as my new to me Ferrari 360 Modena is here. The car is for sale - it's not on sale - if we can't find the right fit we'll continue to watch the NSX appreciate.

The car was purchased out of Orlando FL from the second owner with 65k miles. Clean title - no accidents or problems. Clean Carfax. Due to having other cars through the years in my collection (Supra / 911 turbo / M3's etc) the car was only driven on short weekend runs to keep it exercised and or special events. The car now has 79,9XX and is being driven so will likely turn 80k miles.

The car was originally Berlina Black / Ivory and was professionally changed to RX7 Competition Pearl Yellow in late 2000. This is a complete disassembly and respray - door jams and all. The job is a 9 out of 10. This was nearly 10k dollars alone.

Engine rebuilt - with all new OEM parts / balanced and blueprinted - by previous owner at 60k miles by well known Florida NSX technician Bob Fournir. Snap ring in trans repaired / updated. This was 15k with receipt.

Comptech headers / exhaust / test pipes - $3k

Paxton Novi 1000 supercharger - $7k

AEM EMS Stand alone engine management - $2k

Recent dyno tune March 2016 at National Speed -$1k

Walboro Fuel pump / RC Injectors - $1k

Cold A/C - all power options are working with the exception of the radio head unit - we figure most are going aftermarket and leaving that choice up to the next buyer. Please factor this into your offer. Factory CD changer. No spare tire (19" wheels render spare useless) Brakes and tires have 50% or more remaining.

With the sounds this car makes - who needs a radio?!!?????

The car makes 360 reliable hp at the wheels on low boost - pump 93 gas. Smooth and linear power - this is how the car should have come from the factory. A real pleasure to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes. Keep in mind this is the lightest NSX ever made so the car's performance is on par with most everything on the road today in this price point. Numerous online photo shoots and even in a dream car calendar back in 2005 - I have a copy! This is a far from stock highly modified NSX - it's not for the buyer looking for the all OEM never seen rain example. If your end result is an NSX with these same mods - you can literally buy this car for pennies on the dollar!! - feel free to call with any questions!!
