1990 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER QUADLIAFOGO
1990 Alfa Romeo Spider Description
1990 Alfa Quadlifogio with many miles and some issues. The only good thing has going for it is that it is rust free. When I purchased this car I was told that after about 75 to 100 miles the car would stop running for a short period, then restart and go. The guy I got it fromwas fed up with it. When I purchased it I drove it up and down the island with no issues at all, however each trip was only about 15 to 20 minutes. That was last summer. I now have a driver's license. I since have repaired a couple of dents and now it has no power at all. It acts like there is no battery. More than likely it has a bad ground or 2 or 3 or 4. I can say the short stints that I drove it, it drove fine. Second gear syncro is fine, no grinding. Brakes worked OK. Steering was tight enough. Motor blew no smoke on any of my short trips. No smoking at idle. Convertible top is ok and useable. Frame is fine. One of the window motors is new but I don't know which one. They are both slow but work. Lights and signals worked fine as did horn. Now nothing has life. The body has it's share of small dings and dents but no rust. Comes with a factory hardtop, complete shop manual, new rotors that came with the car. Rotors do not need replacement. There is no warpage or pulsatingwhen stopping. There is another box of parts as well. I did purchase the center drive shaft bearing as it gives a thump when shifting. It is not installed but I will do it if it is desired. It is only a couple of bolts. Other than that this car has nothing going for it other than some electrical troubles. I do not think this car has been taken care of for a long time. All facets are rough but no rust. It does have a clear title. All the trim is there. Make no mistake, this car will take some patience. It is offered pretty cheap with no reserve cause it ain't special. Feel free to ask questions. Also it does not drip anything.
