STK 2005 1992 Alfa Romeo Spider This vintage Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce roadster cruises down the road better than new. It is a 3-owner vehicle that was purchased by the current owner in 2002 and has always been garage kept. The partial restoration began in 2010 when the car had at 92K miles showing on the odometer. All mechanical work was done by Krause and England in Raleigh, NC. A donor car with less than 7,000 miles provided a virtually new 2.0L 120HP engine that sounds wonderful through an Anas tuned exhaust system. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic with OD. Other performance enhancements include power steering, power disc brakes (4-wheel), factory alloys and Hella halogen headlights. Suspension upgrades integrate Koni shocks, chassis stiffeners and a replacement low-mileage differential. Upon completion of the mechanical restoration, the Alfa's body was professionally repainted to its original stunning red color (all Alfas should be red) by Gordie Medaris of Camden, NC. A new black convertible top (manual) was installed to compliment the removable fiberglass hardtop. Included with the Spider is a 2-piece custom fiberglass tonneau cover that was specially made for this model. This cover is very rare indeed. The interior of this classic was restored to better-than-original appearance by Kustom Carswell Upholsterers of Hickory, NC. Handsome imported black kid leather was used for the seats and the custom MoMo mahogany steering wheel provides a distinctive finishing accent.
