1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Description

Top of the line Spider in 1987. Leather seats, optional removable hardtop, aerodynamic front, side and rear trim.The Facts: this was a daily driver for nearly 20 years which accounts for the mileage. For the most part the Spider was well taken care of by the owner evidenced by the completeness and originality. Approximentily in 2006 it was put into dry storage where it remained until it was purchase early this year. Since then it had been gone through the following to correct any issues.Repairs made : valves ground, radiator replaced, all fuel filters replaced, fuel tank replaced, fuel pump replaced, all calipers refurbished, top frame repaired ( broken bolt). Engine tuned.Interior: seats are very nice with no tears or damage. All glass is good as well a soft top rear window. Soft top is good as it was mostly unused due to the hard top. Dash as 2-3 cracks, but has a fabric fitted dash cap. Power window, mirrors all work. Carpet is good with some staining.Exterior: normal dings you would expect on 29 year old car. No major bumps or bruises. No collision damage in evidence and no rust. We are talking, floors, rockers, arches, tire well. Paint is original and hasa presentable shine, but is thinning.Hardtop: good condition with no exterior or interior damage. Electrical plug in, j hooks, and rear clips includedBoot cover: great condition featuring new red seams.Missing: the air conditioning condenser located in front of the radiator. All the rest of the unit is there, we removed the compressor which is in the trunk. No tool kit. The A/C switch on the console is missing a knobAll gauges, motors, switches, lamps are in working condition. Spare tire in trunk.Summary: a great looking and running Alfa with a minimum of issues. Drive it as it is or bring it back to a new standard. This Spider would work well with a first time owner or a seasoned owner.Alfa has a California clear title.
