1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Description

Up for sale is a very nice classic Alfa Romeo 101 Giulietta Spider.
The good:The car runs and drives like a dream! I have driven a number of Giuliettas, and this one is amazing. The original engine was rebuilt and has a few hundred miles on it.The original 4-speed transmission was rebuilt at the same time as the engine. It works perfectly.44,735 miles on the car are from new!The previous owner bought the car in the mid 1960's. I purchased it from his estate earlier this year.A few smart upgrades have been done to the mechanicals including the installation of a Weber carburetor, a Bosch starter and an alternator. (the original Solex carb, Lucas starter and Lucas generator will come with the car.) These changes all make the car much more reliable for regular driving. The car was repainted about 15 years ago and looks great! It has newly recovered seats that match what were in the car when new.The rest of the interior is completely original, including the floor mats, and carpet. The gas tank was recently boiled and sealed. It has a new battery. The tires are in very good condition. The vinyl top is in very good condition. All lights work. The horn works, The wipers work. There is no rust in the trunk area. The original jack and lug wrench are included. An original owners manual, and 1961 factory shop manual will come with it. (not reprints)
The bad:The car has some rust on the underside as shown in the pictures. Since Giuliettas are unibody cars, this small amount of rust is not a huge problem, and does not effect the structural stability of the car. The buyer could drive it as it is and fix it a some time in the future when it is convenient. There is a rust area on the lower edge of the nose on the passenger side (picture shown). I never noticed it until the car was up on a lift. This is the only rust on the body of the car that I could find. The previous owner choose not to install the eyebrows and horizontal chrome pieces on the front end. These parts will come with the car.The dash was not repainted. It is a slightly different shade of red.
Other notes:This car is titled as a 1961, but was built in July of 1960.I was asked to let a professional photographer use the car for a wedding photo shoot. Two of these pictures are included in this listing. For those of you looking closely- the car did not have windshield wipers on it when the pictures were taken. A set of correct wipers come with the car.I have a complete correct original tool roll available to the buyer if they are interested.-(price to be negotiated after the sale- free if purchased with "buy it now")
I have driven the car about 150 miles since I have had it. It runs, drives, shifts, stops and looks like it should.
Thanks for looking!
