Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this really lovely Alfa Romeo Duetto Spyder finished in the quintessential colors of red with black trim. This car was recently purchased from it's Northern California owner of at least the last 10 years who took very good care of the car. As a result, this car runs and drives wonderfully well and has a very well preserved body and chassis.The body and paintwork on this car present very well. The body panels all fit and align well with no evidence of an accident. It even retains it's original small "bump" on the nose of the car behind the grille showing it's had no frontal damage. Paintwork is older and is showing some chips/touch-ups here and there, but still looks very nice with a few touched in areas on the trunk lid. The car is fitted with a pair of new Carello headlamp covers. The car's underside looks super solid and honest with no rust areas noted, being a California car since new.The car's interior is newer along with a beautiful fitting black cloth soft top. The interior was retrimmed only about 18 months ago and still crisp and fresh with new seats, carpets, door panels, and a retrimmed trunk compartment. The soft top fit is outstanding. A nice touch is the original seat belts.Mechanically, the car starts easily on the key with it's correct twin sidedraft 40 DCOE Webers carburetors. There's no smoke or unusual noises. The car idles smoothly and revs very well. The 5-speed gerbox is a treat to use and shifts very well into every gear, even nicely into 2nd with no backlash. Brakes, steering, and suspension all feel safe and up to the mark. The car has the bonus of an added single brake servo.Overall, a super driving and desirable Duetto Spyder in a lovely preserved cosmetic condition, just the way you would like to find one. This car is in this coveted, "approchable" condition - very attractive, but not too perfect to thoroughly use and enjoy. This California car should look this nice for years to come and is awaiting it's next caretaker.
