1975 Alfa Romeo Alfetta Description
1975 Alfa Romero Alfetta Sedan 2.0L 4 cylinder with Spica fuel injection system California smog exempt I purchased this car out of state last year. The seller provided me with a ton of spare parts that he claimed to have collected for over nine years. I brought the car to Alfaman in Novato Ca and requested Jim to make it as close to mechanically perfect as possible. Jim performed the following: 1 Installed Euro Cams and adjusted valves 2 Installed Euro Headers, fabricated a full exhaust and completed with used Ansa tips 3 Installed 4 brand new brake rotors, pads, steel braided brake lines & an ATE brake master cylinder 4 Rebuilt the driveline and balanced with a brand new doughnut 5 Installed 2 brand new motor mounts 6 Installed brand new clutch assembly, ATE clutch master, replaced w Red Line oil 7 Rebuilt the distributor and advanced curve for performance 8 Installed new alternator belt and new fuel lines 9 Installed Alfaholics Handling package, front sway bar, rear sport springs and poly bushings 10 New battery 11 New Momo Indy steering wheel, Alfa horn button 12 New plugs and wires 13 Refurbished Cromodora magnesium wheels, new paint, big "C" decals and Alfa center caps 14 New Falken Azenis 195x60x14" 15 Koni red shocks 16 Euro steel bumpers 17 70's Alfa painted "horn" shift nob The Alfetta makes approximately 140 hp with the Euro Cams and Euro headers. The car starts easily and once warm, makes great power and torque down low. It pulls away very quickly. The syncros are good and the gears do not grind but the shifter cannot be rushed. The car rides beautifully with the Alfaholics Handling Package. It is super comfortable cruising on the highway and can be tossed about pretty easy on back roads too. The brakes are very strong with a great initial bite and a firm pedal. The best however, is the sound from the Anza exhaust, it's mesmerizing. This car gets lots of attention everywhere it goes. The paint is old and oxidized; theres not much left. Now that it is mechanically sound, the cosmetics are worth pursuing. The dash has a very thin crack or two. The Ultra-70's interior, which I'm told is original, is a touch faded but has held up incredibly well. The carpets are good but the headliner unfortunately shows its age. The chrome and glass are also very good. These cars are nearly impossible to find at all. This one, with several dozen new parts, is like a unicorn! I spent a small fortune putting this together and have created one of the most competent and unique drivers in the entire Alfa world. With the new Giulia Quadrifoglio almost here, be the only Alfisti smart enough to park one in the garage next to its' spiritual grandfather!!! If this car does not sell this weekend, it will be on the lawn at Concorso Italiano in Monterey Saturday August 20th.
