1970 AMC Rebel The Machine Rebel The Machine Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 18th year in the classic and muscle car business. People don't usually think of American Motors when discussing the legendary muscle cars from the 1960's and 1970's. That's a shame, because in 1970 AMC unleashed a fire-breathing intermediate that could run with the big dogs; the Rebel Machine. A total of only 2326 examples were produced, making AMC's most powerful production car a rare sight from day one. So take a long look at this beast; you might not see one again for some time. Horsepower is provided by the correct (Y-code) 390ci/340hp V8 which has a rich and very ditinct exhaust note. The correct and functional hood scoop houses a self-illuminated tachometer that seems to urge your right foot towards the floor. Inside is a nicely restored interior with comfort and convenience items including power steering, power brakes, and an automatic transmission with console. Also, please take note of the correct, rare, and very desirable 15x7 'Machine' wheels. These were manufactured by Kelsey Hayes and feature a unique design that has the chrome trim ring press-fit within the wheel. This is a strong running, fun-to-drive beast that should give fits to GTO and Roadrunner owners. This is a red, white, and blue slice of musclecar history that is sure to draw a crowd at any car show. Street Dreams is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide shipping, insurance, and financing options.
