1973 AMC AMBASSADOR Description
1973 AMC Ambassador Middlebury (Connecticut) Vol. Fire Dept.'s Chief's car recreation (All lettering is vinyl and can be easily removed with a heat gun and the car re-lettered as any FD or PD you desire).
Car is in excellent condition, no ands, ifs, or buts!
AMC 401 ci V-8 very fast!!!!!
Original paint, white vinyl roof, chrome bumpers, trim, and interior all restored to excellent condition.
Complete front and rear suspension replaced including shocks,
New Holley Carburetor, new HEI electronic ignition system but looks like original distributor/points/rotor/condenser system, full tune up including new wires and plugs, new dual exhausts and muffler (throaty but not too loud), restored/repaired gas tank and sending unit, restored/repaired A/C (Frigid now and has "Desert Only" setting), repaired Cruise Control, rebuilt transmission, converted AM Radio to AM/FM but looks original, new tires x 5 (steel belted radials), new battery, new high (100amp) output alternator and voltage regulator, voltmeter gauge installed in dash, new lower body rocker chrome (passenger side), 5 new steel wheels 15x7,
PLEASE NOTE: I installed a nearly new AMC Police Certified Speedometer. To say it is rare is an understatement.
Also an authentic Sireno Light bar (2 clear dome red/white Sireno 199 lights and 100 watt chrome siren speaker), 2 Motorola Motrac/Mocom control heads and speakers. Flashing Red Headlights. Authentic antennas for low band radios (2), Sireno "Projector" electronic siren (rare),
You can literally drive this car anywhere. I drove it last summer to Chicago and back. It is about as indestructible as an M-1 Abrams Tank. It is extremely comfortable on the road. Please ask any questions you might have.
