AMC lovers dream or tinkers project - V8 Gremlin project
1975 AMC Gremlin Description
In this ad there are TWO (2) vehicles in a package for one auction. The Hornet wagon is a parts car to complete the Gremlin project.
The first is a 1975 AMC Gremlin. There is NO engine, transmission or interior. The body is fairly straight without rust through. The drivers side floor is rusted through (common and can be replaced from the wagon). It was originally a 6 cylinder manual transmission, no power assist anything. It does have a set of vintage 14X7 aluminum slotted mags on it. The interior was tan.
The second is a 1973 AMC Hornet station wagon. It has a 304 V8, Torqueflite automatic transmission, AMC20 rear axle, front disk and power brakes, power steering and air conditioning. The car is ratty, looks like it was painted with a brush and has a later model front end on it. It is substantially complete. The engine runs. Car will drive, stop and turn. It is not street legal and should not be expected to be driven anywhere off of my property.
My initial plan was to take the wagon and part it out to make a proper AMC V8 Gremlin with it with AC, PS, PDB, auto and HD rear-end. This is a very easy project that has exceptional opportunity for value when completed. FYI some on an AMC forum think the restored wagon would be worth more. I'll let the buyer decide on that.
I have TX title on the Gremlin and AZ title on the Hornet wagon.
