1973 American Motors Javelin Description

Rare 1973 AMC Javelin. You never see these on the road anymore. Most have gone to the crusher! This is your chance to pounce on a restorable project, and act like yours and my hero Richard Rawlings of Discovery's FastnLoud! I wouldn't be selling this, but I lucked into another from 1971. This Javelin has a 304 cu in. V8, with a 3-speed auto transmission. Just under 100k miles. It has the original white interior, but that needs to be redone. The good: Runs strong, drives well, brakes well. Many mechanical things already done to make it road worthy too much to list. Just needs body work (rear quarters, front floor pans, and trunk extensions) and of course paint. Frame rails are good. Needs carpet and seats recovered. All lights work except reverse, most all switches work. You can drive it home if you are relatively local otherwise tow it. It starts on a dime, idles great. To my knowledge, the car is mostly original, paint is Fresh Plumb, and is cracked up a bit. All emblems intact. Has Body Tag matching to VIN. Unmolested and where you want to start a restoration. I would add the 70's Pierre Cardin interior to this car rather than keeping it white on the inside - just my opinion, but it would be a groovy ride with that motif. I am not a car dealer. I work on old muscle cars as a hobby. I usually sell old guitars on Ebay. I am divulging all on this car I know of. I have 100% feedback with over 500 transactions for over 15 years. This is a cool car at a good price. I have had fun driving it around locally. This car is being sold in as-is condition, no returns, no implied warranty. It is a blast from the past that can be brought back to life with some body and interior work. Shipping to CONUS only - you are responsible for all shipping and transportation costs.
