1965 AMC Rambler Description

1965 AMC Rambler American Classic 660. Condition is Used.
For it's age, this car is in pretty good condition. It does have leaks and makes noises just like any car its age will do. The gas gauge does not work. It has air conditioning, but we have not had it charged and do not know if it works. We haven't been able to get the glove box open.
There are scratch marks on the roof where the original owner used a luggage rack on the car. There are small dents and dings in the chrome and paint. As far as we know, this car has never been in a wreck or in for any kind of body repair. There is a small tear in the driver's side seat cloth. The driver's side seat belt needs to be sewn back on.
Car was in storage for many, many years. Earlier this year, this car was taken to a local mechanic where he put on a new exhaust manifold and new carburetor, added an electric fuel pump (not original to the car, but makes it start/run easier), new tires, new brakes, new front and rear shocks, replaced gaskets, cleaned out the gas tank, among other things ($2000 in repairs and updates.)
This is a driveable vehicle - we have taken it to car shows and cruises. We think the paint is original and the mileage is accurate (not rolled over). NADA Average Retail lists this car's value at $5333. We will be happy to send additional photos if requested. There is no warranty implied and no guarantees of any kind. This car is being sold as is, where is. It is by no means a "perfect" car. Must be picked up in Joplin MO or buyer can arrange for shipping.
