1971 AMC AMX AMX Description

A true 71 AMX. This was originally a 360 4 speed car, silver, leather interior, AC heated rear window. This is now a 401 4 speed car, plum crazy purple with 73 Pierre Cardin interior, does have AC dash and vent box with AC lines under the hood. I do not have any other AC parts. Car has power steering, brakes, heated rear window (not connected) tinted glass, I put in a 73 factory rear window blower i, (not wired up). The 401 is standard bore and has approx 50,000 miles, it has 70 390 heads that have been freshened up when I put the motor in. Has Torquer intake and a Holley 770cfm carb, 70 390 valve covers. Rear tires are BFG’s 275-60-15, fronts are 235-60-15. Has original paint rally wheels and trim rings. Has new front end bushings, (A arms strut rod, sway bar and ball joints.) new brake calipers, hoses and brake lines. New booster and master cylinder. Radiator is new. Car is base coat clear coat (71 Roadrunner paint code FC7) paint job was $8,000. they did a great job (S&M auto body Eastlake Ohio Body is very clean, fenders, doors, rockers, lower quarter panels no rot ever. floor boards no patches, fender troughs no rot. There were pin holes Around the top of the wheel lips but were professionally fixed, welded not just filled with bondo. Taillight housings, front and rear bumpers have been rechromed. Has front factory spoiler. Non functioning hood. 3.15:1 rear end from a 72 AMX. Has the correct 71 only console with correct 4 speed plate. Car runs drives and stops as it should. The reason for selling, I have only put 5,000 miles it in since 2009, it started a rear main oil drip from sitting, could use a clutch, has a dent in lower rear valance and I scuffed the drivers side rear quarter backing out of garage, hard to see in pictures, but will try to get a close up picture of it (not really bad). (I am being honest and I am not hiding anything). And I also have a 70 AMX that has not been outside my city in ten years so one of them has to go. Now the disclaimer, car is as is, no returns and a non refundable $500 deposit within 48hrs paid through Pay Pal. Shipping is not included, buyer is responsible for shipping. Starting bid is $18,500. Please ask questions. Thank you.
