1972 AMC Javelin Description

1972 AMC Javelin SST
Turn key Driver.
360 / 727 floor shift Manual disk brakes and power steering.
Bought this car from a fellow who had it in his shop and it was in bare metal. He had patched the rear quarters and hung doors and front fenders off a 74 on it. The sub structure is perfect. Car hasn't been in any serious accidents. Sheet metal was replaced due to rust. We primed the car to preserve the metal. It will need a full sanding again.
Back glass has been removed and urethaned back in.
Engine was just sitting in the bay when I bought it. I added HEI ignition, headman headers and some used flow masters. Sounds healthy and runs out nicely. Transmission shift fine.
Brakes are all new calipers, pads, front hoses, rear cylinders and hardware.
Ball joints had been replaced by prior owner. However the control arm bushings were shot. I have bought everything to complete the front end rebuild, including new MOOG springs. And the spring compressor. These items are included in the sale. There are tubs of spare parts left over from the car the donated the sheet metal. all the trim is in the trunk. the only trim that is not is good shape is the wheel well trim. I didn't plan on using this so it was not a big deal to me.
The bucket seats appear to have been recovered. The backs are not perfect but are not busted up beyond use like many. The back seat is mint and appears to be original as does the headliner. Carpet is new. All interior pieces are here along with some spares.
Car has the 140 speedo with tach and clock. I have not verified the tack or clock work. The speedo works but needs a new cable. Also included is a spare cluster was a nice printed circuit board .
Floor is solid. Trunk needs a small patch where trunk meets the tail light panel. Repair was attempted prior me owning the car and it just doesn't look great.
Right now the car has some chrome smoothies on it and old tires. But the tires look great with no weather checking. I would advise trailering for safety's sake.
Car does not have the factory steering wheel.
Car does not have the factory radio, but the radio hole isn't butchered up like many.
My reserve is low and reasonable. Definitely less than I have car listed for elsewhere.
