2 AMC Pacers 1979/1980
1979 AMC Other wagon Description
I'm selling my 2 Pacers a 1979 limited that can move on it's own power. While it does run it does not run well. The other is a 1980 DL model. I bought the limited & drove it for over a year. I took it to a local garage to be repaired & got it back on worse condition plus the mechanic told me the car had a Ford motor in it, if that tells you anything about his ability? The 80 needs the floor boards replaced. I drove it into my driveway off a trailer, but the transmission leaked as fast as you put fluid in it. I disconnected everything to pull the motor, so that's how it currently sits. Both cars have the AM/FM/CB radio with AMC mics. The D/L radio works but the buttons don't to change the station, but the knobs work. The limited I went to Michigan to get & drove it back to Indiana from there. The D/L was delivered to me from Virginia. They both now have a clear Indiana title. No warranty is offered or implied. I'm selling these together & I love these cars but I'm in over my head even though I want to see them on the road again. I started the interior in fake ostrich skin, & the buyer will get the leftover material as pictured. The headliner that is pictured is in suede, & the work was done by frank's upholstery in Lewisport, KY. All the emblems needed for both cars are there except for the limited badges. They are pick up in person only. The ad says $1000 deposit due immediately, but I don't expect payment until the buyer comes to get the cars & indeed sees that they are as averted(rough but lovable) Other than a "Smokey & the Bandit" Trans AM, name a more iconic 70's car than a AMC Pacer? I will work with the buyer as far as keeping the cars here until both can be picked up. Feel free to text me @ (812)719-4073. Thank you & God bless
