1980 Aston Martin V8 Volante 5 spd Volante Description

You are bidding on my 1980 Aston Martin V8 Volante.V8COL15210 Arctic Silver over Blue Hides.
I have owned since 2005. I believe I am second owner, first owner was California movie producer. Car had original Avon Turbo Speeds date coded to 1979 when I got it.
Full service history since 1990. Currently wears original paint and leather, except driver door appears re-painted. Front seats, carpet, and some wooden trim distressed. Top serviceable, rear window clear, slightly faded.
I purchased the car from Park Place Ltd. Steel Wings did initial safety check and service, At that time, added Steel Wings electronic ignition, rebuilt brake boosters, and general service.
Full engine out, photo documented re-build by Treasured Motor Cars of Riestertown, Md at 50,985 miles late 2008 to 2009 cost in excess of $30,000. At that time, I upgraded to Euro base plate, airbox, and Weber 48mm carbs. Braided steel brake lines, new clutch, motor mounts, etc.
Engine work included new pistons, turn crank, all new timing gear, exhaust valves, mill heads, etc.
This is an excellent driver quality car that is good to turn the key and go. I have seat covers to hide the distressed leather on the front seats. The body and paint are very presentable despite minor scraps and two dings on both right and left wings. Under bonnet is very clean.
Removed (but convey with car): air pumps; a/c compressor; a/c heat exchanger; etc. This lightens the car by about 200 pounds.
The original airbox; carbs; parts removed during engine re-build; four BBS wheels; convey with car.
Original mostly complete tool roll with car.
I have enjoyed this car quite a bit. It is a truly practical classic in that it has large boot, back seat, and is a big car suitable for families. The ZF-1 dogleg 5 speed gear box is a totally cool and rare period piece on this car. I have done all the mechanical heavy lifting and I never did the interior because I put dogs and kids in the car. The body is really straight and quite nice. Keeping the paint original means more to me than having a "done" car.
I am ready to sell this car, catch me before I change my mind. I have it advertised locally at $125,000 so the auction could end early if someone steps up at that price.
Good luck and happy bidding. This is an honest, cool car- much enjoyment over the years.
Just serviced and ready to go- brakes, tires, tuned up, oil changed, all recent invoices. Get it before it gets away.
