Becoming a very rare collectible model with values on the rise. The Austin Healey Sprite has been a favorite for British car enthusiasts for many years. Noted for their simplicity and reliability at an affordable price.

Transmission: 4 Speed (non syncro 1st gear)

Color: Green with Black interior

Mileage: 87,112

Title: Clear "Michigan" Title

**I will be adding more pictures within the next few days.**

I purchased the Sprite from a retired automotive engineer who had spent approximately 15 years doing an extensive restoration taking the car completely apart. His goal was to essentially rebuild it to a "driver" quality example that he could enjoy on weekends. A lot of time and money was spent during this rebuild process, and it was completed several years ago. Since it's completion, it was used on periodic sunny weekends for around town driving.

Mechanically the Austin Healey is in great condition. The engine starts easily with the pull of the choke. Transmission was rebuilt which included new syncro's. (2012) Shifts and operates nicely now. First gear is "non syncro" and has a bit of a whine to it. Has all new brake and clutch hydraulics. Brakes renewed including all wheel cylinders. Emergency brake works fine as well. Has new exhaust system. As with most British cars, it does leak some oil. Electrics work fine including lights, blinkers, wipers & gauges. Tach not working and also the heater fan. Shocks are soft. Tires are fine and also includes a spare. Fairly new battery with no issues of the battery going flat. Always starts easily at the pull of the choke.

Body: The engineer owner wanted to make sure the body was completely free of rust. He cut out any rusted panels and replaced them with correct parts from Moss Motors. This also included the floor pans. His plan was to deliver the shell to a body guy to do the final finish work with a "driver" quality paint job. Unfortunately the body guy took advantage of this older gentleman and did a poor job and not fulfilling what they had agreed upon. The paint work is not very good with some runs, chips etc. Also, the final body work was not done correctly and you can see sand marks and uneveness in the quarter panels. The body man also managed to damage the hood near the passenger side hinge so it now sits up too high at that point. The paint work was completed in 2008. All lenses in good condition including new rubber trim when the car was reassembled. This also includes door gaskets. Has new front bumper. Most importantly, it is rust free.

The interior is in nice original condition as shown in the pictures. Has correct seats with white piping which are both in good original condition. The driver's seat does show a repair on the seam as shown in the picture. Both door panels in nice condition. Window cranks and door opening mechanisms work fine. Has new Moss carpet kit including a new shift boot. New pedal rubber including a new gas pedal. Has new door check straps and new seat runners. Jump seat area in nice condition as well. Has newer convertible top however it is not completely correct with the body snaps/attachments. Dash is in good condition and has not been cut up. Has correct factory Banjo Steering Wheel however the center cap is from an MG. As the pictures show, the interior really looks nice and has that true British car look to it.

The Sprite is being sold in "as is" condition with no warranty expressed or implied. I cannot be held responsible for any errors or inaccuracies that may have been inadvertently been provided.

ONCE AGAIN....NO RESERVE AUCTION!

To answer a few questions:
The steering wheel is original to the car, however the center cap was missing. I had the "MG" center cap from my old '67 B that I put on the wheel.
British Racing Green is the original color.
