This car was recently purchased from the state of Missouri where it had been off the road for at least the last 35-40 years, according to the seller. The seller recently rebuilt the carburetor set, installed a new gas tank with a pump, and the car fired to life on its first go! It would need its hydraulic systems refurbished to make it a driver. This car has never been apart for restoration and is highly original.The body on this car is very straight as noted by the pictures. The shrouds are in very good condition. The grille fit is excellent as well as the headlight areas. The car has a very solid chassis with nice straight and sound mainrails. The rear outriggers (which support the rear springs) are in good shape. The car needs some typical Austin Healey rust repair including the inner and outer rockers, 2 front outriggers, trunk floor, front toe board areas, and some lower fender repairs. It appears that the car's second paint job was red over the original black, and then the most recent job was it's current Healey blue.The interior trim has been dyed black at one time, over the original red material. The car would need a complete retrim. It still retains it's original steering wheel, trafficator, gauges- all very decent and restorable. The car also has it's original top frame and sidecuratin set. It's missing the wooden rear seat back, which is available new.The engine compartment is very original and complete, with even the original air cleaner set supplied. Most of the visible paint in there is the original factory black.The car still retains it's original VIN plate, body tag, and engine number plate, all sequenced within a few hundred numbers of each other.Overall, a very decent, straight, together, matching numbers car in great original colors for straightforward restoration.
