This Healey 3000 is the automotive artwork that I completed this past season. Several months were spent finishing this long term restoration that has been off the road for many years. It has become an automotive sculpture, as a new and fresh Austin-Healey 3000 MK III PHII BJ8; right from the 1966 showroom...
IT IS A SUPERCAR; a heirloom quality motorcar.
The last of the 3000 series, the BJ8 model represents one of the most sought-after and collectible of all the classic British Sports-Cars. Its legacy in the rallies of the 60's created a legend that lives on in the high price that the final of the "Big Healeys" command. These are the most luxurious, weather tight, and powerful of all the Austin-Healeys. They have steadily increased in value since the 60's and continue to do so. This would be a great investment vehicle for someone with a passion for classic sports cars who wants a well sorted out car, but not have to do all the work to get it there...
