Austin Healey Sprite Titled as a 1959 car
1959 Austin Healey Sprite Description
Clear Florida title shown as a 1959 car. However, for those of you that know Sprites, the 'froggy' bonnet is from a 1959 and the rest of the car likely is a 1962 MKII or later (because of the wire wheels that were introduced in late 1962). It is great running car that I drove from central Florida up to Panama City when I recently purchased it from the previous owner of over 10 years. Lots of 'stuff' done to the car like brakes, new battery, interior, fuel pump & other items I sorted out. You will have the iconic bug eye look with the nice upgrades of the MKII, (larger engine, front disk brakes, boot, wire wheels) Ran great and did not use any oil during the 300+ mile drive up here. You can call me with questions and for more information about the car. A fun driver at a much lower cost than a complete MK I car. Call or text me at 850 276-6243. Recent top and OK side curtains. Tonneau cover is older, but fully usable. Two chips on the windscreen that look like they came from a BB gun, but does not interfere with visibility. Tach and speedometer intermittent, but for myself not a needed fix. You can definitely drive this car home. A solid car with no real rust issues. Actually an amazing car for being 50+ years old. Reserve is very reasonable considering the overall condition and driveability.
