1959 Austin Healey Sprite Sprite Description

Clear Florida shown as a 1959 car.The MK I 'bugeye' bonnet isfrom the 1959 car (with the original serial number plate)and the rest of the car I would guess is from a 1962 MKII . A lot of stuffhas been done to the car like brakes, new battery, interior, fuel pump, ignition and some other items I addressed since recently buying the car. It has the iconic bugeye look with the nice upgrades of the MKII, (larger engine, front disk brakes, boot, wire wheels)while retaining the classic look of side curtains, spartan interior, no outside door handles, front lift bonnet, etc. A fun driver at a much lower cost than a complete MK I car. Excellent top and OK side curtains. The tonneau cover is older but fully usable with no tears and a good zipper. Two chips on the windscreen that look like they came from a BB gun, but they do not interfere with visibility. The tach and speedometer are erratic, but for myself not a needed fix. However, new and used parts are relatively inexpensive and are readily available. A solid car with no real rust issues. Actually an amazing car for being 50+ years old. Please watch the video on You Tube I just made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-BAIOjRriE I purchased the car from the person that was given it by his children about 12 years ago when he retired to Florida, and now due to illness he has moved back home to be near his family. He said he likely put less than 1000 miles on it since he owned it. I did get the impression it was recently restored when it was purchased for him and It has always been garaged since. Please call, text or email through EBay if you have any questions. No tailpipe smoking and it has not used any oil during the 400 + miles I put on it since driving up from The Villages in central Florida to Panama City. Owners manual some extra filters. 850 276-6243 (Fred). I personally would not hesitate driving this car to its new home. Reserve is very reasonable considering the condition and driveability of the car. (This is a relisting since I remembered I did not have the Title in hand when I listed it a couple of weeks ago)
