1971 Austin Description

This London Cab is just out of a long term collection. The man who owned these is absolutely over the moon about London cabs and after driving it, I understand why. Its a conversation starter and a crowd pleaser that brings out the curious onlookers and smiles from the kids. My kid loves the Cabby and her playmates hang out inside the spacious passenger area and have a tea party. This cab is in pretty good nick and also includes the partitions that separate the driver from the fare. There is some checking in the paint on the rear 1/4's that must indicate some previous bodywork. The sheet metal is smooth so if you don't like the antiquated look, a new respray should not be that involved of an undertaking. The gentleman who owns this cab has 2 others, one in red and one in cream with grey accents, quite a bit more cheery of a paint scheme if you ask me. This cab runs on diesel so expect a puff of smoke on acceleration. Also the brake are low so that will need attention before any customers are picked up. The cab has been holding a charge for the last 3 months it has been at my place. After a month away it hasn't started up so that will be attended to or any reasonable offer will be accepted today, thanks Harris. The personalized plates are staying with the owner, i have a set of black and yellow commercial plates that can go with.
