I have listed several pictures, and could email a few more if you desire. I have not driven the taxi since we had it in a parade in 2007 and it ran great then. It has been sitting in the garage since that time and I have decided to let someone else enjoy the car as my interests have changed.
It has a 4 cylinder diesel engine, Perkins I am told. I am no expert. The only issues I had when driving the car is that there is a small leak in the fuel tank, which I never repaired, and slight leak from the block where a previous owner had it welded. Cannot explain that, but it never effected the running or the drive.
As you can see in the pictures, the car is well above average condition, inside and out. You can see that some of the original rules, permits and tags are still in or on the vehicle. It appears to have been last licensed to operate in London in 1969.
The taxi meter works - the pictures show the pence / shillings increasing in the fare window.
The buyer will have to purchase new batteries – it is designed to have two six volt batteries wired in series to produce 12 volts to provide more cranking power.
The car is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty or guarantee of any kind.
I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to email.
I will assist with shipping should you desire, but have no way to move the vehicle off my property. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. I can accommodate a truck / trailer for pickup at my home.
A $500.00 deposit via PayPal is requested within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance is due in cash or certified / bank check within 14 days.
If you are looking at this vehicle, you probably know more about it than I do. This is a nice car with lots of potential. We have had a lot of fun, and believe me, heads turn when you drive down the street.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
