1931 Austin Bantam Description

1931 Austin Bantam. I'm the second owner of this little car. The first was a new bride and it was given to her on their wedding day from her Husband in 1931. I bought it over 17 years ago from the 87 year old bride. Her brother who owns a body shop restored the car for her 80th Birthday. She had the color changed from Blue with Black fenders to Cream with Brown fenders.
She told me she never did like that Blue.
When you take it to shows its great, it gets a lot of attention and when parking gets tight this Austin can park almost any were.
The car runs and drive good. The restoration was done on a very good rust free and complete car. It still shows good,but has some scratches here and there. The interior is very good, with just one small hole on the side of the bottom seat. The headlights were updated for safety, I have an original set of lights that goes with it and also another set of bumpers, spare motor and transmission. A new set of rear tires also. The original Bantam Chicken radiator cap goes with the car too.
