1947 Austin Description

1947 Austin Devon Street Rod, Gasser. This car started life as a 4 door but the rear doors have been welded shut and the engine and seating position have been moved back to set it up like a gasser from the 60's. The metal work and finishing on the conversion have been professionally done and braced and the workmanship is superb. The top has also been chopped 4" by the same fabricator and it reflects the quality of his work. The suspension is Mustang ll on the front with rack and pinion steering and the rear is Ford 3.73 narrowed positraction with ladder bars and coil over shocks, all professionally done. The rear emergency brake cables are still in place but not connected to a handle yet. The engine is a brand new GM Goodwrench 290 HP 350 with the GM warranty. It now has about 30 minutes run time on it so it is not even close to broken in. All paper work for engine is included. It was purchased new from Jegs. The transmission is a 200R4 overdrive that shifts and operates perfectly. Car has a nice set of aftermarket gauges, quick release steering wheel, brand new racing bucket seats with shoulder harnesses, new battery, new electric fuel pump, all new ignition including distributor and new power brake booster with proportioning valve and check valves built in. The body is all steel and 100% rust free. Car has new tires on front and new cheater slicks on the rear. Parts included but not shown are wiper motors, window regulators, new lexan for front side windows, inside window moldings etc. I was building this car as a 60's gasser style street rod but medical problems have forced me to sell it.
