1965 Bentley Other S3 Description

1965 Bentley S3.
Up for auction is a nice Bentley S3 RHD. Mostly original, the paint on the hood, roof, trunk and doors is original; the interior is original. As you can see from the pictures of the original paint in the doorjambs, trunk that the car is rust free. It looks to have been kept indoors, there is a paper service tag in the driver doorjamb that has survived since 1977. The corners of the car have been repainted, you can see original primer or or original paint under it. The engine looks original and the paint on underhood cowl and the engine bay is also original (see pics near vin tag). The chrome still is in good condition with normal wear. All four power windows work, and the glass looks original with some chips in the windshield. The same key works the ignition and locks the doors and trunk. The gauges work, as does the odometer/speedometer. The engine starts easily, battery stays charged up for weeks without needing to be charged. The engine sounds very good and runs well, the transmissions shifts well. The car had been in storage for many many years. We flushed the fuel system, changed the oil/filter/spark plugs; we bled the brake system. The brake system seems to have been refurbished in the past, the parking brake works and the brakes work best when the car is warmed up and under normal idle. The car has only been driven around the parking lot by us and will need some 'donuts' replaced in the exhaust pipe. This would be a very nice S3 to do some light cosmetics and TLC; and then be used and enjoyed.
The car is sold as-is and equipped. However, you are welcome to come see and/or have the car inspected before the end of the auction. Payment is due in full within seven days of the end of the auction. California buyers and all in-state sales are subject to sales tax, doc., & lic. fees. In California, all vehicles over ten years old are sold miles 'exempt'. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer.
