1952 MK-VI Bentley Right Hand Drive Standard Steel Saloon
1952 Bentley Other Description
This is a great example of a true British Collectible. This MK-VI is in original colors and with factory correct interior. She has had two owners since extensive restoration of the car in 2004. MK-VIs were the first Bentleys manufactured following the end of WW-II and produced from 1946 through 1952. Only 1202 MK-VIs were produced during this seven year run. MK VI Bentleys were powered by 4.3 liter engine until 1951 and then by a 4.6 liter engine. As a late model MK-VI, this car has a 4.6-litre twin carburetor straight six matched to a four-speed manual transmission. A 4.6-litre, factory bodied car was tested by the British car magazine, 'The Motor' in 1951 and had a top speed of 100 mph. The example for sale has a stainless steel exhaust system and new Excelsior Radial tires mounted, a new clutch installed and front end/steering and break work completed in September 2014 by the Rolls Connection in Kent Washington. The radiator was flushed and a thermostat controlled electric fan was added when the car last had an oil change and was tuned by British Automotive Repair in Scottsdale, Arizona in March 2015. The carburetors were re-built and fuel pumps replaced by Brooklands British Car in Tacoma Washington just before driving to the Forest Grove Oregon Concours d'Elegance and tour, July 17 - 20, 2015. This car is very reliable and has been driven over 7000 miles since September 2014. Sale includes original leather bound owners manual, shop manual, build documents, 15 years of restoration and maintenance records plus complete original set of tools. Engine and Body serial numbers all match original build documents from September 1952. Car is being offered with a complete and crated spare 4.6 liter engine from a 1955 R-Type Bentley.
