1989 BENTLEY TURBO R SEDAN ; A SOLID DRIVER ... 91,931 MILES

1989 Bentley Turbo R finished in Porcelain White with Saddle Tan Leather Interior. Rust-Free California car; a sturdy example. 91,931 Original Miles. Overall in good cosmetic condition for a nearly 32 year old car. Runs and Drives well. A few cosmetic flaws are documented in the photos to the right, but overall, it remains a solid "driver". The four (4)HANKOOKOPTIMO H724's have plenty of tread remaining.

The car was owned since 2000 by a lifetime car enthusiast who sadly passed away about a year and a half ago. He purchased it at a dealership in Redlands, CA, and was told it was a one-owner car at the time.

The car has not been driven much or serviced since the the owner passed away. It has a couple leaks: likely from the master cylinder and the brake system - these are typical issues for these cars. We have some service records from the last five years or so - all work performed at YORKS & LANCS in Chatsworth, CA. Fuel injector replaced in 2018.

The Bentley Turbo R is a high-performance automobile which was produced by Bentley Motors Limited from 1985 to 1999. The "R" stood for Roadholding, to set it apart from its predecessor. It initially inherited the turbocharged engine from the Mulsanne Turbo and also sported a re-tuned suspension and wider tires on alloy wheels, a first for a Bentley. From the 1987 model year (20,000 series chassis numbers), however, the Turbo R's V8 engine was re-tuned with fuel injection for added torque. Motor Trend called the Turbo R the first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name in their review of the car on its introduction to the United States in 1989.
