1990 BMW M3 Description

spring is here - putting it up for sale! sold twice in the fall but deals fell through with non paying buyers. would love to sell before summer.
----------
I'll be asdescriptive as possible below to give you guys the best picture of the car.
history:
It started life as a 1990 325is and came into mypossession last fall with a e36 m3 motor swap done and needing some work. Many owners of the car over the last 25+ years...so I wanted a brand new paint job, full mechanical service and walk through, ew convertible top, nterior spruce up, nd rebuilt wheels (among many other things).
So this is precisely what I had done, y the best people I could find, egionally in NJ. On inspection the car/chassis had 196,xxx miles on the ODO (which has stopped since the motor swap) and I was told the motor had 80,xxxx. I am traveling and do not have exact current mileage in front of me.
reason for selling:My real reason for selling so soon is Idon't have a garage. It has been in my (awesome) neighbors garage since last spring when I got it back from everyone who worked on it - so only garage kept after restoration. Car isamazing and if I had the space I would keep it - but I feel bad leaving it over there another summer/winter. (My own garage currently has a 1950s roadster project awaiting some attention right now).
paint job:The car had the m3 body /coil overs / etc on when I got it. I had the entire car stripped bare (photo attached), nything needing attention repaired, he rear trunk tail light deleted, nd repainted BMW alpine white. The car has probably less than 500 miles on it with the new paint and mechanical work. A couple other nice added touches were installed - like touring emblems, 3 black trim around the front and rear bumper, tc.
mechanical work:After paint (I did it backwards out of convenience for myself) I had the car completely gone over and worked on by Guten parts / Left lane cars in South Orange, J. I wasreferred to guten parts and reached out to Levent there to have the car tuned up over last winter.
While 95% of my communication with the project was with Levent @ Guten (as Ireached out to Guten originally), handed Levent @ Guten money, nd Levent posted multiple photos of the car through the process on his instagram/facebook (the photos on ebay are at his place) - now that I reached out regarding selling the car Levent told me to bring it back up there to have the car checked out so I can say it was a "guten car" (even though this is what he told me originally, ord for word, hen I first brought the car there).
Ijustdon't have time to do this again. While left lane cars produced the invoice - I did everything here with Levent and, urthermore, he guys Michael and Joel who worked on the car still work for Levent in the samebuilding. I just wanted to have full disclosure and transparency about the work done and who did it for any interested parties. I am not selling this car with any type of warranty so it shouldn't really matter. I have a 6+page billtotaling over $5k+worth of work done over the winter on the car up there - basically having whatever needed to be replaced replaced, ustom exhaust put on, heel refinishing, nd so on and so forth.
interior:The interior is a 8-9/10 - and thats just in general. Not even saying that in the light of it being a 22+ year old car. It was one of the reasons I bought this particular vehicle. It just looks awesome and its one of the first things people comment on.
There are a few pieces of trim which could be tightened down more and some odd ball things like a small piece of trim in the drivers seatbelt deck area which is broken (and I have a brand new one in trunk ready). Some small stuff like that. All the lights outside work. The dash lights up. Obviously the controls as far as OBDII communication and all that (showing average MPH and all that) do not work. Also the "check engine" and maybe one other light is always on. None of this ever bothered me and was like this when I got it...so I didn't do anything about it.
sound system is OK - If I kept the car I would have done something a little louder due to the convertible top + engine sound. I did put a brand new head unit in car with bluetooth /auxiliary so I could use myiPhone.
convertible top:I had a *brand new* convertible top made and installed by J.Critchlaw (Awesome, wesome guy. did great work). it is black and I have put it up I think two times when I had the car out.
wheels:wheels were completely re done and are beautiful. I don't know the model of these. Also we put brand new tires on here when we did the wheels @ guten. (not for snow / ice ). Tires are:215/40R17 DUNLOP DIREZZA ZII STAR SPEC BLACKWALL
in summary:I am not an e30/bmw geek so Iapologize if this post is not too descriptive. I left it to the experts. I owned an e36 m3 in the late 90s/early 2000s and I loved it. When I started looking at e30 M3s andsaw people spending $30k+ on drivers with the original 4cylinder, orn paint, orn interior, eeding work and 150k+ miles...I wasn't going for it. Then I thought how awesome would it be to have a convertible (since I would only bedriving in the summer) and was even more shocked to see the $75K+ price tag of the european imported convertibles - IF you could even find onenow that the DOT 25 year import rule has lifted on these.
This car has given me 0 issues since Ipicked it up. Starts right up, ounds great, nd is a blast to drive. Fast.
Here is what is essentially an impossible to find euro convertible version with more powerful engine and all brand new exterior (wheels, aint, onvertible top) and mint interior. Ultimately Iwanted a beautiful fun car to drive in summer months and that is exactly what I got.
I hope this gives you guys an idea what this car is and whats been done. The price is right considering not only what these cars are going for but if you do the math (motor swap, ody panels, rand new top to bottom paint job, mechanical work, nd new convertible top) you would easily spend this or more starting with a donor car.
The car is being sold as is, here is, ith noliens orincumbencies. I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction close.
