1967 BMW 2000 C Rare Rust Free Original Paint Stored for Years.
1967 BMW 2-Series Description
This is a 1967 BMW 2000 C. Automatic Trans....I bought this car and did not realize how nice it was until I had a chance to really look it over.. The Engine and trans has been removed and needs rebuilding as such it is in pieces boxed. I was told that the head has a crack in it and need to be replaced. The bores on the block look great and the crank shaft looks good. All the pieces are included with nuts and bolts.... Based on what I have seen...this maybe the most rust free 2000 C you could ever find for restoration. There is not even a hint of rust anywhere on this car. Even the battery tray looks like a bit of baking soda would fix it right up. The interior needs some work but it looks very original and complete. The seats are in fantastic shape...I would guess that this car was never on the road in the USA for any time at all.. The license plate panel has no option for a US plate and the car looks to have all Euro specs, including the side mirror on the front fender (Now in a box). I was going to build an AutoX car but based on its condition and originality It should be against the law to do anything but bring it back original... The body had a few minor dents and ding that an experienced hammer and dolly guy could make short work of . The paint looks original as all the scratches show dark red primer and then bare metal. I have really looked the car over and will guarantee no rust or repairs other than the battery tray. Not a weathered car as there is very little if any rust bleeding or stains even on some bare metal.. The glass is excellent ...the weatherstripping has seem better days but it looks original . I have the original wheels & hubcaps, the original jack (which is really cool) ... Thanks
