BMW Isetta 300 1957
1957 BMW Isetta 300 Description
1957 Isetta 300Runs and drives.
The brakes are not currently functioning ( I would guess due to sitting in a museum for a few years ) but the emergency brake is.I have not looked at these as I am sure the purchaser would be undertaking a restoration to put this car into the $ 30-5000 bracket.
New parts with this car...Glass windshield from Pilkington along with the new rubber trim and the chrome finishing strip that slots into the channel of the trim. ( to be fitted )There is a crack in the plexiglass windshield to the bottom right as you view from outside but as I have sai, there is a far superior screen to go with this car.New Exhaust now fittedDoor seal ( To be fitted )New petcock valve (Fitted )
This car was in a museum for a few years . The gas tank has been removed and cleaned along with a new fuel valve fitted and the carburetor has just been rebuilt. Fires u, no problem.
I have the original title ready to transfer.
The car has been repainted, probably prior to entering the museum. It's O.K. if you want to drive this around but could do with paintingagain if you want to restore it to its former glory. There are some runs and a couple of areas that are patchy. See photos. The underside is solid. There are no rust holes anywhere.
I would be happy to provide more photos of any area you wish to see. Just ask.
An appreciating asset.
I am setting a very realistic buy it now price and I believe there is plenty of margin for someone to restore and flip this car if you wanted to do so.I will help with shipping and loading. I am in Jacksonville Fl. which has a port but I believe South Carolina is a less stressful place to ship cars from. I have the contact details of a shipping agent who can help, if you need one.
