Selling my 1983 320i, all original car with 86295 km on the clock. It's the last year of production for the E21, which was rolled out in 1975. I bought it on June 5th 2017 from the original owner in Toronto, he has meticulously maintained this car. Hands down the cleanest E21 on the road. Receipts dating back to 1983 show the car's full service history, and indicate that only 3,000 km have been driven since 1986.
So what makes this car rare? Well first of all it's Schwarz black, and the paint is in virtually perfect condition. Secondly, it features the gold side trim and 13" gold BBS wheels that were offered on the John Player Special edition 323, 90 of which were made and went to Australia and the U.K. I'm told that BMW did not offer this trim for the 320i in North America unless specifically asked for at the BMW dealer.... meaning that there aren't many on the road if any at all.
The car is completely mint mechanically, and passed the Ontario road safety test on June 5th, the only thing found wrong with it was the spare tire in the trunk was low on air! It has been undercoated and garage stored its entire life, with not a single spot of rust ANYWHERE on the car. It is the definition of Collector Car when it comes to classic BMW's. 1.8L motor with a 5 spd gearbox, A/C, Sunroof, cloth interior that looks like it just came off the production line. You'll be getting a BMW car cover and extra batteries for the Motorola car phone.
