This car is a survivor -- it is all original save for the air filter assembly, and the top mechanism (converted from automatic to manual, but could easily be converted back). The car has never been in an accident, has never been painted, and still has it's factory original top. The paint is still miles deep, and the car looks terrific. People stop me to ask about it all the time.
Is it perfect? No. I has the patina of a car that is 25 years old -- at least in the interior. The panels are all great, but the seats are a little worn, and have the wear you would expect. The car has only two minor dings on the left front fender, and a small dent to the left of the left headlight assembly. All easily repaired, but I have left them because I wanted to keep the car original.
The good? Runs great, with plenty of power as I recently had the intake manifold gasket replaced. Also new is the radiator and most of the cooling hoses (heater, radiator, power steering, oil coolant). It runs cool even in the hotFlorida summers. It also has new brakes, a new battery, andalmost new tires. The A/C runs cold and allelectronic items work as expected.
What needs attention? The oil pan has a small leak. And, the fuel gauge registers 1/4 tank less than is actually available (the trip computer does show the correct actual mileage left to an empty tank). The left turn signal is "fast", but works. And the brake light in the overhead console sometimes comes on, even though the brake lights are fine.
This car is beautiful, and has been well maintained by its only three owners (I'm the second and fourth owner; I bought it from the original owner, sold it to a friend, and bought it back). The car has only been in Texas and Florida (where it is now), and has always been garaged. For the last 20 years it has rarely seen even some rain.
I also have somespare NOS parts that will go with the car.
Please ask as many questions as you want. I'm happy to get better pictures as well.
