1984 BMW 633CSi (E24) with 20,700 Original Miles
Delphin Grey (Dolphin Gray) original exterior factory paint (BMW code #184)
Cherry Red (BMW code #0162) original factory leather interior
This 633CSi was stored in a climate controlled pole barn in the Midwest for more than 10 years before the owner decided to have it transported to their winter home here in Arizona. We recently bought it from them with the intention of using it as a weekend pleasure vehicle. It’s been a terrific car for us, but with only 20,700 original miles, we’re reluctant to put many more on it. After researching the car, we just didn’t see any others in the same condition or mileage. We were told that the 633CSi is a desired collectible and thought we’d gauge the interest with all of the major car auctions in Arizona this week.
If you’re here for Barrett-Jackson, Russo and Steele, Gooding and Company, or any of the other collector car auctions, we encourage you to come have a look.
This particular 633CSi RWD Grand Touring Coupe is one of only 776 automatics that were built in Germany for the US market in 1984, the last year of production.
It looks, starts, runs and drives great. The steering is very tight and the driving experience is a lot of fun.
We were told the car is as original as the day it was received with the exception of the tires and the floor mats. And, that maintenance has been kept up over the years.
We had the A/C serviced and it is now converted to R134 and blows ice cold.
The only items that need addressing are:
Rear power windows do not operate.
Front power seatbacks do not operate (you can hear the motor turn but the seatbacks do not move), however, they still tilt forward for rear seat access.
The factory radio turns on for about 3 seconds before it turns off.
The tires have plenty of tread, but are older.
We’ve had it out to the lake a few times (50 miles round trip) and it’s performed flawlessly.
It gets a lot of attention with most comments being made about the “shark nose”.
The paint looks terrific and is very glossy. There is a single dent on the car directly above the driver side headlight about the size of a nickel (see photos).
The interior looks great with very little wear on the cherry leather and the carpet, dash, and headliner are all in like new condition.
There is no rust evident and it does not leak a thing.
The car is titled in my name and indicates “A” box, or actual miles.
It is registered in the state of Arizona and it has insurance in my name.
If an agreement is made, this is a private party sale in Arizona. No sales tax.
