1973 BMW 2002 Race Car, B-Sedan
1973 BMW 2002 Description
The car was parked 10-15 years ago by the previous owner for health reasons, I purchased the car about a year ago second hand. I was told the car was raced in SVRA and HSR and there is no logbook. I went through the car to make sure it was drive-able and took it out for a test day about a month ago. I put 30-40 laps on it, I really had fun and was pleasantly surprised, it did everything that was asked of it. The engine pulls hard all the way to the 7400rpm chip. (you can hear it in the video below) The car stops very well and handles nicely, very neutral. I did mow the grass twice, you have to find the limits right, plus it has 10 year old rocks for tires what do you expect. Someone has spent a lot of time developing this car and is a great car for the money, it also qualifies for the 2018 SVRA B-Sedan Challenge. The paint and bodywork isn't that great but it is shiny, you can tell from the pictures. The fuel pressure gauge is the only thing I found not working. It comes with an extra set of Panasport wheels (4) and free rock hard tires included as well. The car will need to be picked up in the Asheville NC area. The car is for sale locally and if sold I will remove this add.
