1992 BMW 8-Series Description

UPDATE: Got the car cleaned up and added some new pics this morning.

This gorgeous 1992 850i was a project car that I've just never had the time to focus on. I've owned it about a year and it needs a new home. It's a strong runner and handles great with many new suspension parts. It has about166,000 miles on it. It's very clean underneath - looks like it has been pampered in the winters or is a southern car.

The car has had lots of attention and has many high-end parts already installed, including

  • Bilstein shocks
  • Slotted/drilled rotors all around
  • Racing Dynamics performance engine management chips
  • Tight suspension with newer bushings
  • Alpine Stereo with Bluetooth

Overall, the car is in very good condition
  • Original BMW glass all around
  • Lights and lenses in excellent condition
  • Interior is very good
  • Exterior – fresh paint – very sharp graphite grey (new paint is similar to original, doesn't look like a color change)

And, it comes with some other extras
  • 3 Spoke Euro wheel (uninstalled-see pic)
  • Alpina front air dam (uninstalled-see pic, also see pic of red 850 with the air dam installed)

Known issues

  • Headliner needs some attention
  • Small dent behind rear left wheel (the bumper cover isn't torn, the tail light lens is intact – see photo)
  • Power steering fluid leak (only seems to leak when it's cold out)
  • Coolant leak near the expansion tank

These cars seem to be increasing in value - I've bought/sold 5 of them in the past few years, and this is a no-reserve auction. Please take a close look at the photos - and bid accordingly. Please reach out if questions - happy to answer all I can.
Happy to work with buyer to arrange pickup or shipping.
