This car (VIN 4335243) originally had an automatic transmission and was converted to a 5 speed from a 528i by the previous owner while it was in Pasadena, CA. The car has dual Weber DGAV carburetors that need work. Both chokes and re-synchronization work needs to be done. The rear carburetor has a vacuum leak, likely from sitting up too long in my shop and likely has a dry gasket somewhere. Car has likely over 200,000 miles on it, actual miles unknown. Head job was done prior to my ownership, bottom end is original.
The car comes with two carburetor rebuild kits which I intended to do, but I’m not going to be able to get that done. As for the rest, I am also including my literature of the car which includes repair manuals, literature, wiring diagrams, etc., plus I have the two chrome strips which go between the seat and the door with the notch out for the seat adjuster on both sides. When the seats were recovered, the guy never put them back in, and I never made an attempt.
It was my daily driver from 2002 until 2012 and she was parked when my wife wouldn’t let my kids ride in it because of the age of the car, and its relative antiquated safety features. It has been collecting dust in my shop.
Since it is originally a California car, it has California emissions controls consistent with 1974.
The car was in California from 1974 until 2002, and is now in Dallas, TX. There is no rust except for surface rust. Please understand that Ebay is highly limited in its photo capacity it allows for uploads, therefore if you’d like to see up close photos from top to bottom, I have put them in a dropbox where you can peruse them.

The photos named “Drivers Side n”, where “n” stands for the number, are the underside of the driver’s side of the car. The photos start showing the jack and a chunk of aluminum I used to get the car up high enough so I could get under it with a camera.
I then photographed from the front of the car to the back of the car underside taking photos where I could fit the camera. On the passenger side, I started in the middle, moved to the front, then moved to the back. I do not have a lift, however, you are free to hire a mobile mechanic to come to my shop and have it looked at by a third party.
I have owned it since 2002. Since then I have had it repainted in 2005, I have had carburetor work done, tune ups, new tires, new BMW OEM front brakes, front seats recovered and rebuilt, new compressor and condenser, and inner fender liners installed from a Volvo donor though I forget which year and make of Volvo fender liners fit these cars. The A/C has new compressor and condenser, but it needs a dryer as well as PAG oil and a re-charge. I have done nothing else to the car except drive it.
