BMW 735i comparable to the 740i but more reliable with famous 3.5L m35 Inline-6
1990 BMW 7-Series 735i Description
Hello everyone!
What we have here is a beautiful 1990 BMW 735i. This has been our car since 2013, that's right we have owned this car for 5 years. When we bought it from the second owner. He cried as we drove it away but the head gasket was going and he couldn't afford to fix it anymore. Since our ownership we have dumped tons of money towards restoring the original integrity of it; over 10 thousand dollars in maintenance. We have only put 25k miles on the car since we've owned it. Few times a year we drive it to LA, great road trip car. It wasn't until a couple years ago when things changed and my wife had to move to LA for work. We are now consolidating all of our material items as we are looking to relocate again to Austin, TX. Anyways since it hasn't be used much other than a grocery getter and we figured it's time to pass the baton to someone else who can finish the project we started as it's in the homestretch of being completed!!
Things to note:
-No matter how great the photos look the car is 28 years old and has wear and tear.
-This car has a clear California title, Clean 3 owner CARFAX, and just passed smog in September of 2017. (It always does, never once on the carfax has the car ever failed smog)-Since it's been a California car the undercarriage is rust free are rust free.
-The original motor was rebuilt in 2013 with 231k miles, it now has 248k miles
-No Check engine light, No Airbag lights. The dash is free warning lights.

Since this car is still a project it still needs work:
-The front seats were custom installed to replace the faulty BMW seats that twist. They need to be reupholstered to match the original black leather interior. Back seat has a tear and the headliner also sags a little.
-The onboard computer is funky with false light bulb warnings. It's purely an accessory related quirk.
-The car needs alignment, it's affecting the handling
-The main transmission seal has a small leak as well as one of the power steering lines.
-Rear window has old tint, rest of the windows had the tint removed.
-The car is 28 years old so it has some parking lot dents and door dings.
-Drivers door lock sticks when you unlock the car. Usually have to open the back door and pull the lock up; once you do that it says unlocked until you lock it again. Was told replacing the lock actuator would fix this.
-Main window switch in center console needs to be replaced, front switches don't work most of the time.
-A/C does not work and needs the A/C compressor replaced.
This car is for sale as is and where is. Buyer is responsiblefor pick up or shipping vehicle on their own expense. After sale is completed there will be no buyers remorserefunds or changing minds. This is a great driving car with the exceptions of the things listed above. If you want more pictures or want to set up an inspection of the vehicle I would be more than happy to arrangethat with you. We are letting it go cheap because the amount of cars we have has grown to be unmanageable.
