1988 BMW 325i (e30) - low miles - manual - 2-owner car
1988 BMW 3-Series Description
I am selling my 1988 BMW 325i. This car has a clean PA title but it is currently located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.The car was originally purchased in the DC area and was owned by one family until I purchased it a little over two years ago. I purchased the car with about 100k miles and I performed about $2k worth of preventative maintenance because I was using it as my daily driver. Please see the complete list of items that have been replaced. I’m asking $6,500 but I will consider any reasonable offer.
This vehicle is very original with a few changes that can all be converted back to stock, with the original parts, if interested. The only changes to the car include:
- A/C compressor and power steering system have been removed
- Driver's seat has been replaced with a fixed race style seat (I still have the original seat but it will need reupholstered)
- Audio head unit has been replaced with modern MP3/Bluetooth enabled unit
- Original BMW steering wheel replaced with Momo steering wheel
Engine:
- Timing belt, water pump, and thermostat were replaced (June 2016 / 100k miles)
- Valve adjustment performed at 114k miles
- Oil pan gasket at 100k miles
- Valve cover gasket at 114k miles
- Engine mounts at 100k miles
- vacuumand fuel lines at 110k miles
- Spark plugs & wires at 100k miles
- Distributor & rotor 100k miles
- Air filter at 100k miles
- Oil changed every 5,000 miles
Suspension/Steering:
- Lower control arms and bushings at 100k miles
- Inner & outer tie rods at 100k miles
- Front & rear sway bar bushings and links at 100k miles
- Front Struts/mounts and rear shocks/mounts at 100k miles
Clutch/Transmission/Differential:
- Trans fluid, transmission output shaft seal, and trans selector rod seal at 100k miles
- Differential fluid replaced at 100k miles
- CV joints and half shafts rebuilt at 100k miles
- Original differential was replaced with 2.93 LSD from 1987 325e at 110k miles
- Clutch slave cylinder replaced at 105k miles
Brakes:- Brake lines were replacedwith stainless steellines 100k miles
- Rear rotors and pads at 100K miles
- Brake fluid flushed at 100k miles
Interior:
Seats are in very good condition but there are rips on the top of the rear seats (see photos). The headliner has a few rips (see photos). The dashboard has cracks (see photos). All of the electronics are fully functional including the sunroof and 9-button OBC. The blower motor works but it is a little noisy because the securing strap is loose and needs replaced.
Exterior:
Original 14" bottle cap wheels with 50% thread tires.
There are a few dents and dings. (see photos).
The car is rust free.
Paint is all original and there are few blemishes overall but the clear coat still shows well.
Other:
- New battery installed about a month ago
- New windshieldinstalled at 110k miles
