1993 E30 Individual 318i Design Édition Touring. (Only produced for the German/Austrian market)
Imported this year, All original condition 1.8L 4 cyl (113hp) Automatic with Limited slip differential.
Mauritius Blue Metallic on Limited Design Édition blue Sports interior, with HEATED front seats, black headlining & rear headrests. Leather steering wheel, gear selector and On board computer with factory BMW Bavaria III cassette head unit.
Electric front windows, manual sunroof, electric Heated mirrors and drivers door lock.
BBS 15" Cross spoke/ Basket weave alloy wheels with all 4 center caps with correct matching Uniroyal Rallye540 205/55R15 tires.

Exterior:
The Mauritius metallic blue paintwork is all original and all panels look to be factory fitted. A machine polish has brought the shine back and looks great from 10 feet however there are some noticeable blemishes here and there and some spots of surface rust that have been touched up at the bottom of the rear quarter glass, tailgate glass seal and bottom of left front door. Some noticeable scratches and scrapes on the rear bumper rub strip and tailgate area and usual stone chips on the front valance and hood, as to be expected on 25 yr old paint work.
The 4 BBS 15" wheels are original and have never been refinished and look great for their age with no heavy corrosion, no dents, cracks or buckles. (One center emblem sticker is missing and the tires are on the old side but still have good tread remaining.
The chassis is solid throughout, jacking points, front fenders, rear lower trunk compartments all good.
Tailgate release mechanism is stiff to press but functions fine.
Front lower lip spoiler, brake air ducts & fog lights all good and has the highly sought after Bullseye ellipsoid head lights.
Interior:
One of the best looking interiors available for an e30, has held up very well for its age and is solid with no sagging or damage. Except for standard wear on the drivers upper & lower left side bolsters where a patch has been applied to prevent further damage to the sponge supports.
The headlining has started to sag at the rear but is held in place by some thumb tacks, which seem to be holding up well.
A crack-free dash, stain free carpets and all functioning switches and gauges make this almost an unmolested interior from when it left the factory. The only down sides are the interior rear view mirror is missing, glove box lever is broken (but can still be opened with internal lever) and the fuel gauge sticks at full level sometimes upon start up but reads normal once warmed up or tapped.
The original Km/h speedo/ odometer is functional and the OBC works but has some discoloring to the display. (Fixable).
This is a cold weather package car so does not have A/C. The heated seats work great, and there are no missing panels, levers or switches.
The drive:
I personally drove this car through Europe last year from Poland, across the autobahn in Germany, through holland, Belgium, the top of France and across the Channel up to the North West of England. It never missed a beat.
The only issue however, is with the engine which has the not un-common problem of worn cam lobes due to incorrect oil viscosity at oil changes. It creates a rattling sound at the top of the motor and thus a slight decrease in power so if the next owner wants to keep the original engine I would advise replacement of the cam and possibly some additional top end parts.
If I were to keep the car however, I would be seriously considering an M50 or S50 motor swap with a manual gearbox conversion!
Besides this issue, the motor starts & runs ok and is perfectly drivable and Is one of the nicer e30's i have driven.
The auto gearbox shifts perfectly and selects gears smoothly, the power steering is precise & smooth. The brakes are fine although the rear pad sensor is missing, causing the brake wear light on the dash.
Overall:
2 keys, original papers from first owner in Poland, clean Maryland title in my name.
The car with this rare spec, color, wheels, LSD and originality makes it a very collectible car which after a little tlc, can only increase as a valuable investment.
