1984 BMW 6-Series Description

This first generation BMW 6-series is a European model imported to California 06/03/1986. It spent most of it's life in central California before moving to San Diego with its current owner in 2004. The owner is a BMW enthusiast and past BMW service manager. In the last 15 years of ownership the following modifications have been performed:

• Battery relocation / isolator switch
• Engine oil cooler installation (BMW turbo style oil cooler)
• Electric exhaust cut-out (switch located in center console)
• Front strut tower brace
• Seats re-upholstered

Prior to the current owner taking possession the vehicle had a quality royal blue re-paint believed to be its original color. The re-upholstered seats were very well done and show little to no wear. The dash has no cracks but was covered due to distortion on the passenger side. The factory options including A/C, sunroof and power windows all function. The stereo is an aftermarket replacement that works, car was not equipped with cruise control. The factory tool kit appears to be complete, the original factory spare and jack are installed and the BBS center cap removal tool is also included.
This is one of approximately 15 cars in the current owners collection of vintage BMW's and Mopar's. It has been stored in doors, covered, and driven minimally. I typically only represent Mercedes for sale but offered to take this vehicle because I have always been a fan of the E-24 and it gives me the opportunity to "joyride." The car starts, runs and accelerates well. The transmission and clutch work as they should. No rust or corrosion has been found on the body. There are a few minor paint blemishes but no door dings. There is a gap between the top of the interior door handle and the door panel. The engine oil is clean and the tires have plenty of wear, no weather cracks.
A Carfax report and clean CA title are included with the original books, service manual and atlas. Passed CA smog inspection 04/08/19.
