Thank you for taking a look at another unique piece of fiveninedesign inventory. Here at fiveninedesign, we strive to offer some of the most unique and rare vehicles on the market globally. In layman’s terms, if we are selling it, it is special. This 1988 BMW 635CSi is a great example of cars we love to sell. Cars from this era are making a strong run for collectibles, and we are thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to present some of these nice cars! This vehicle was owned by an avid enthusiast who kept it as original as he could, while maintaining it to ensure it was a safe driver for his common commutes from Jacksonville, FL to Atlanta, GA. Wearing aged paint, it is apparent that this 30+ year old car has been maintained and cared for, all while still uniquely showing it’s age with grace. Finished in Bronzit Beige with Tan Interior, that has recently been refurbished, this car is a period correct color that suits it’s body so well.
The exterior is in great condition. It has some fading on the top sides, (sun exposed), areas of the vehicle, as well as some chips. This fading isn’t a major eye sore, and is only visible if you are really looking for it. The car is just TOO NICE to repaint. Some of the chrome has some aged patina, but again, it looks so correct on the car. The multi piece BBS style BMW wheels are in decent shape, and are the era correct, and model correct vintage BMW wheels for this car. Everything on the car is bone stock. The stock M Sport like bumpers look amazing, and keep this car so relevant for decades to come.
The interior is in even better condition. The beige front seats were recently refinished, and the interior feels like new. Coco Mats grace the floors, and the supple leather throughout is in great condition. The rear Can Cooler still works, as well as all of the switches and interior toggles. This car was so ahead of it’s time, with all of the seat adjustments, and sport knobs, but it is a great reminder to where the modern BMW get’s all of it’s DNA. The car still smells like a BMW, and the AC blows nice and cold. The dashboard instrument cluster has some aging “dust” that doesn’t affect functionality, but it is visible.
Mechanically, this 635CSi is in excellent condition. The motor is very clean, and dry, and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and always utilizes the correct gear. This is truly a turn key car. You could get in it, and drive to California, and we would sleep at night knowing you were doing that in this 30+ year old car.
