1985 BMW 528e One Owner Garage Kept Classic
1985 BMW 5-Series Description
One careful owner has owned and maintained this car since new. Bought new from Charles Evans BMW here in Atlanta, and the car has lived here all its life. No salt exposure, so this thing is immaculate. Has zero rust.
The car has been driven over 300k miles, but the engine only has something like 60-70K miles on it. Runs and drives like new. Has automatic transmission. The R12 AC still blows cold. The leatherette seat covers are only a few years old (original upholstery was cloth). Has original stereo system. The dash pad is cracked, but there’s a dash cover for it.
Water pump and timing belt are recent and maybe have a couple hundred miles on them. The brake pads and rotors are also recent.
The body has had one repaint with original color, and there are no body issues. The car has been running ethanol free fuel for several years now.All the tools are still in the tool kit.
The biggest known issue with the car is that the speedometer has recently stopped working. Owner has an extra speedometer that will come with the car.
This is a car that would make an excellent daily driver or a unique weekend cruiser.
I am listing this on behalf of the owner. If you have questions, please ask them and I will get you an answer. The Georgia title is clean and in hand.
Vehicle is located in the Hamilton Mill area north of Atlanta.
Transport after purchase is the buyer’s responsibility, as are any/all taxes and fees charged by the state to transfer.
Sold as-is. The vehicle can be made available for inspection upon request for serious buyers.
I’m sure I’m forgetting to mention something, but if new details come up I will add them to the description.
Again, *ASK QUESTIONS* if you have them.
