1957 BMW Isetta 300 1 OWNER SINCE 1963! Description

Hi Guys! Cathy here with another classic car for you to consider.

As a lot of you know, I search the countryside looking for thesehard to find "diamonds in the rough". Most of them need that
special person with the talent and wherewith-all to bring them
back to their glory days.
I've located and sold everything from Darrin's to Duesenberg'sand nothing brings me more joy than finding a good home for them.
Hopefully, someone here is up to the task for this:

YEAR: 1957
MAKE: BMW ISETTA
MODEL: 300
CONDITION: ROUGH BUT RESTORABLE

THE SHELL SAT OUTSIDE UNDER TARPS
FOR APPROXIMATELY 8 YEARS, MAYBELONGER. THE OWNER ISN'T EXACTLY SURE.
THIS IS WHAT I FOUND AFTER I TOOK THE TARPS OFF!
OBVIOUSLY, THE TARPS DIDN'T PROTECT IT ALL THAT WELL.MEET ROGER, THE OWNER OF THIS ISETTA FOR THE PAST
58 YEARS! THE LAST 8 HAVE BEEN KINDA ROUGH ON BOTH
THE CAR & HIM! HE HELPED CUT THE TREES THAT WERE
GROWING THROUGH THE FLOOR PAN!
UNFORTUNATELY, ROGER BECAME ILL AND WAS UNABLE TO
PROPERLY CARE FOR HIS ONE TIME BEAUTIFUL BMW.AS YOU CAN SEE, NATURE CLAIMED THE FLOOR PAN TO THE
POINT IT HAS TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED.HERE'S A PICTURE AFTER I SWEPT IT OUT.
NOT FOR THE "FAINT OF HEART"!
HERE'S A BETTER PICTURE FOR YOU.

ALL THE OTHER RUST SEEMS TO BE MOSTLY SURFACE AND
SHOULD BE REPAIRABLE WITHOUT REPLACING THE PANELS
OR OTHER STRUCTURAL PIECES. HOWEVER, THERE ARE SOME
PRETTY BAD SPOTS AS YOU'LL SEE IN SOME OF PICTURES
THAT I'VE HIGHLIGHTED BELOW.
THE ROOF SEEMS PRETTY SOLID, EVEN AROUND THE
SUNROOF AND DRIP SEAMS.
THIS SIDE LOOKS PRETTY GOOD TOO.
HERE'S A CLOSE UP SHOT OF SOME AMATEUR WORK THAT
WAS PREVIOUSLY DONE TO THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL WELL.
SOMEHOW, IT LOOKS LIKE MOST OF THE BOTTOM WAS
PROTECTED FROM THE WEATHER. MAYBE THE TARPS DID
SOME GOOD AFTER ALL!
NOT TOO SURE ABOUT THIS THOUGH.
THESE NEXT FEW PICTURES ARE OF THE INSIDE PANELS
AND WHEEL WELLS.
AGAIN, I THINK IT'S SALVAGEABLE.
MOSTLY SURFACE RUST HERE.
THE CURVED BOTTOMS SEEM SAVABLE AS WELL.
THE NEXT SEVERAL PICTURES WILL BE OF CLOSE UP SHOTS
THAT I TOOK OF THE WORST RUST.

THE OTHER PAN PART SEEMS PRETTY SOLID.

HERE'S ONE LOOKING STRAIGHT DOWN.SIGNIFICANT RUST HERE.
CAN'T DO THIS WITH JUST ANY CAR!
OR THIS EITHER!
THE REAR RAIL LOOKS TO BE PRETTY SOLID ALL THE WAY AROUND.
BUT NOT SO MUCH HERE.

I WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND THE EMBLEM
OR THE GAS TANK LID.

THE SEAT DOESN'T APPEAR TO HAVE
ANY RIPS OR TEARS. I STARTED TO WIPESOME OF THE DIRT AND GREASE OFF AND
IT SEEMED TO CLEAN UP PRETTY GOOD.THAT BLACK SPOT AT THE TOP IS GREASE.
THE SEAT FRAME SEEMS SOLID TOO.
I'LL KEEP LOOKING BUT, NO PROMISES.
THE LAST PICTURE REMINDED ME OF THIS.

IN ADDITIONAL TO THE TITLE, HERE ARE SOME
DOCUMENTS THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE SALE.

Good Luck & Happy Bidding!
