1988 BMW M6 all original and as close to new as possible.
1988 BMW M6 Description
The 1988 BMW M6 had an original list price of $58,720 and in today's dollars it would have been $130,720. Total E24 M6 production for North America from 1983 to 1988 was only 1,767 vehicles. It shares a modified version of the BMW M1 Supercar's engine. At the time the M6 was the second fastest BMW ever built at 158 mph. Only the M1 boasted a higher top speed.
I bought this M6 12 yrs. ago because it is in nearly new condition and is totally unrestored. It has all it's original body panels that are individually serial numbered to the car. It's near perfect paint and interior are all original. There are only two items that are not original to this car. The original BMW metric wheels have been replaced with a later set of BMW wheels however, a set original BMW metric wheels are included with the sale. Lastly the problematic rear air leveler was replaced with a set of Bilstein shocks. For the purest this could easily converted back to original.
This M6 had 72,646 miles at the time of my purchase. I drove it aprox. 700 miles to make sure everything worked as it should and then placed it in my aircraft hangar with the rest of my collector cars.
Recently everything has been checked and with the exception of the A/C not blowing cold everything works as it should. The A/C has not been recharged in more than 12 yrs so it may only need a recharge.
This M6 runs and drives like it did when new. Only unrestored cars can ever fully ride and drive as they were designed.
It has a clean CarFax and AutoCheck. It also has it's service records from day one.
This car is available to anyone that would like to personally examine it.
