1974 BMW 2002 Description
BMW 2002 tii with Certificate of Authenticity from BMW Germany confirming that it is a number matching vehicle and original paint color Amazonasgreen. It was delivered October 1st via Hoffman Motors Corp. who was the General importer for BMW at the time. The vehicle always resided in the San Francisco South bay area with a short stay in Houston Texas. The car comes with a clean Texas title. Original delivery documentation is available and full records since 2007.In 2007 the vehicle was upgraded with an original 5 speed transmission, clutch driveshaft, clutch slave cylinder, clutch hoses, Pilot bearing and numerous smaller items at a cost of 4672 US$. Also front and rear struts were changed at 80653 miles. Also turne bearings, valve cover caskets, clutch pedal bushings and numerous other parts too many to list.In 2010 Brake booster, master brake cylinder discs/pads, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, Brake hoses, were changed at 81144 miles at cost of US$ 3630.50In 2012 the previous owner restored the interior at a cost of $6527 with receipt from Cabriolet InternationalThe engine and fuel injection system was overhauled with new piston and cylinders at a cost of $6216.
In 2017 I purchased the Beamer and it was repainted in the original color of Amazonasgreen after it had been painted by 02 to Malaga in 2010 (not to my standards) The car was stripped, all new seals, OEM decoration trim upper and lower purchased worldwide, new sunroof cables installed, new emblems. The underneath of vehicle was cleaned, new rubber bushings installed,At that time the Vehicle was reclaimed to the original Euro look with bumpers and removal of side markers. The ugly US impact bumpers were removed. It is a stainless steel Euro bumper on vehicle now without deco trim. I also have a mint Euro front bumper with rubber trim in chrome which comes with the vehicle. All mechanical items which needed replacement were refreshed again. Some brake items, shocks, new muffler, alternator, voltage regulator, batter, tie rod end, adjustment of steering pump, Accelerator pedal and so on and on. The total costs of stripping, repainting and mechanical work was over $15000.My daughter took the car to college in Houston but only a few hundred miles were added. Overall this is an excellent sorted TII with full documentation of nearly every mechanical part replaced and a near mint interior and exterior. I want to mention that the speedometer was inoperable when I bought the car and had it repaired by Speedometer plus. The mileage on record is not correct and repair invoices from 2012 to 2019 show the same reading. My good friend who was the previous owner of the vehicle did not drive the car more than 1000 miles (at most she said).I do understand that a purchase of this kid of caliber requires a proper inspection by an 02 Specialist. We do have several excellent Bmw repair shops in our area, where a PRE PURCHASE INSPECTION by any potential buyer can be done and is welcome. Actually I will not sell the vehicle without a PPI done by the buyer.I believe that the car is completely accident free which can also be verified during the inspection. It had some light touches in the nose area but nothing serious.I can help with shipping and worldwide export.I do have a complete photo album with numerous videos from 2019 and have recently made several repairs after I had vehicle looked over by an 02 aficionado. Some of these repairs might not be visible in the photos listed here on E-bay, but I can send potential buyers a link to appr 500 photos of vehicle taken recently if you forward me your Email to 7o7-478-3o78.This is not a Covid fire Sale, so please be realistic with your offers after a proper inspection. All other offers will just be ignored.Thank you for your understanding and Stay Safe in these challenging times.
