1972 BMW 2002 Description

For sale is my 1972 BMW 2002.
Body/Exterior
This is a California car, meaning it spent most of its life in CA where I bought it before bringing it to its current home. Since purchase, it was always stored indoors and never driven in inclement weather. Virtually rust free, the only spot that I or my mechanic can find is a quarter-size hole in the passenger side floor pan in the front. Good driver-quality paint (Inka Orange) maybe ten years old. This 2002 also has its correct 13-inch steel wheels and center caps with new tires all around.
Drivetrain
Car has its numbers-matching M10 engine upgraded with DGV Weber carburetor, headers, and stainless steel exhaust. Car sounds great! Not obnoxious. Car also has a 5-speed manual transmission from a later 3 series BMW.
Interior
Interior has recently been refreshed and I still have the receipts. Car received new vinyl upholstery front/rear, carpet (main cabin/ trunk) and rubber seals all around.
What works
Almost everything works, wipers, turn signals, hazards, headlights, brake lights, oil pressure light, blower fan, temp gauge, gas gauge, brake light [dash], and horn. If I'm forgetting something I'm sorry. Car was state inspected three months ago and they don't let you register it if all safety items are not in proper working order. This car was well cared for before I bought and it remained so since I've owned it.
What doesn't work
When I bought the car it had 64,xxxx miles on the odometer, it now reads 68,xxx. During that time the speedometer quit working. I'm told its an easy fix for any DIYer I just haven't gotten around to it which brings me to my conclusion.
Car runs and drives great! Every time I get in and go somewhere I have second thoughts about selling it but I have other projects that require my attention and I just can't give this one the time it deserves. This a is great car that any 2002 enthusiast will be happy to own. This is an everyday classic that can be driven whenever or wherever you want. I welcome mechanic and in-person inspections.
